Greenberg Traurigs Philip I. Person to Speak at CELAs Diversity Leadership Summit

SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) June 12, 2023 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder Philip I. Person will present at the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA)s Diversity Leadership Summit at University of California College of the Law, San Francisco June 13.

Held in conjunction with the Foundation for Advocacy, Inclusion & Resources, the program is titled Why Employment Law is a Smart Choice for Your Career; Tips and Tools for Advancing in the Legal Field. Person, along with other Bay Area attorneys, will discuss how practitioners in employment law go about finding purpose in their careers. The program will also discuss the many obligations and goals associated with a career in employment law, among other topics.

Person serves as the co-lead of the firms California Wage & Hour Taskforce. He focuses his practice on representing employers in wage and hour, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, trade secret misappropriation, non-competition, non-solicitation, and whistleblower claims. Person is an experienced litigator, having defended employers against single-plaintiff and class action litigation in both federal and state courts. He also represents employers in labor and employment arbitrations.

Person also is a recognized thought-leader in the area of employment law. Person has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Corporate Counsel, and Law360 Pulse; is the co-editor and co-author of the Practising Law Institutes Employment Law Yearbook, an annually updated treatise on employment law issues; and is the co-host of The Performance Review, a California labor and employment podcast available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Stitcher.
