NEW YORK (PRWEB) March 29, 2023 - HHAeXchange, the leading provider of homecare management solutions for state Medicaid agencies, managed care organizations, and providers, announced today the company has been selected by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as their Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) aggregator.

Michigan has one of the highest percentages of residents aged 65 with more senior citizens wanting to age in place. Additionally, over 2.9M individuals are currently enrolled in Medicaid in Michigan. As a result, the homecare provider industry in Michigan is expected to grow to $3.71 billion by 2028.

As Michigans aggregator, HHAeXchange will connect payers and providers across the state, allowing for greater visibility and transparency among all stakeholders, and making it easier for them to monitor their networks performance and ensure better care for their members. Additionally, provider agencies using HHAeXchanges platform will have a greater ability to recruit and retain caregivers, while building a better foundation to improve member outcomes.

The goal of our EVV solution is to ensure not only that each state has the software they need to meet their individual goals and compliance requirements, but also to create a seamless connection with providers, state Medicaid programs, managed care organizations, and caregivers, all in one platform, said Stephen Vaccaro, President of HHAeXchange. Were looking forward to serving the state of Michigan as their EVV aggregator, offering provider agencies tools that can improve their communication, efficiency, and compliance, and help caregivers deliver better care.

HHAeXchange will provide comprehensive oversight and management of Michigans EVV data in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Acts EVV mandate, via the state's open EVV model. Through this approach, HHAeXchange will be able to serve over 124,000 lives and support approximately 1,900 homecare provider agencies.

MDHHS is fully committed to making the transition to EVV as easy as possible for stakeholders, said Elizabeth Hertel, MDHHS director. Personal care and home health providers will be able to use the free provider portal and its multilingual caregiver tools to report required information to enable the department to manage provider compliance and ensure participants are receiving appropriate services.
