OperaWine 2023: Vinitaly rolls out the red carpet for Italys Finest Wines

Veronafiere in collaboration with Vinitaly and Wine Spectator, the worlds leading wine magazine, hosts the twelfth edition of OperaWine on Sunday 1 April. The premiere event brings together producers of Italys finest wines with an invited audience of influential figures from the oenological world to celebrate the very best in Italian wine on the eve of the biggest wine exhibition in the world.

VERONA, Italy (PRWEB) March 10, 2023 - The twelfth edition of OperaWine, Finest Italian Wines: Great Producers selected by Wine Spectator, will be held on 1 April at the site of the former Gallerie Mercatali, an imposing post-industrial site that has been revitalized as a stunning conference and exhibition space. Over 130 top producers, selected by the American magazine Wine Spectator, have been invited to share their wines with an exclusive audience of invited international journalists, sommeliers, wine experts, ambassadors, and educators.

The objective of the event is to demonstrate the great diversity of Italian wine and to promote the excellence of Italian wine to a domestic and international audience.

The invite-only premiere event begins with the arrival at 11.00 am of 130 top Italian producers, followed at 11.30 am by opening remarks led by Wine Spectator, a press conference, and ribbon cutting ceremony. At 12.00 participants will gather for the traditional group photo, followed at 12.15 pm by a light lunch. VIPs, including international wine buyers, Italian Wine Ambassadors, and distinguished 5StarWines and Wines Without Walls judges, will arrive at 1.00 pm, followed at 2.00 pm by the entrance of guests for the Grand Tasting. The event will close at 5.00 pm.

During the Grand Tasting, an exclusive audience of invited guests will be able to taste the specially selected wines from the producer stands set up around the Gallerie Mercatali. Among the wines on offer, there will be 96 red wines, 25 whites, 7 sparkling wines, and 2 sweet wines, representing all 21 Italian regions.
