FREDERICK, Md. (PRWEB) October 04, 2022 - The Refugee Support Fund has been established with The Community Foundation of Frederick County and becomes one of its more than 770 component charitable funds.
The Refugee Support Fund was established by Covenant Capital, a wealth management firm in Frederick County, whose team felt compelled to help local refugees in response to global events, specifically the war in Ukraine. The fund will support nonprofit organizations that provide services and programs for people who have been forced to flee their country. We have been so blessed starting our new business this past year that we wanted to make sure we started to give back sooner than later, Nathan Harris, founding partner at Covenant Capital, said.
The Community Foundation works with individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to establish charitable funds that provide grants to area nonprofits and scholarships to students. The Community Foundation has distributed more than $86 million since its founding in 1986. For information about the Community Foundation, visit http://www.FrederickCountyGives.org.
