Strategic Decisions Group Opens Office in Houston

Management consulting firm Strategic Decisions Group has opened a Houston office in support of its energy transition and technology clients in the region. Sang-Won Kim, head of the firms energy practice since 2020, will lead the office.

MENLO PARK, Calif. (PRWEB) September 01, 2021 - Management consulting firm Strategic Decisions Group (SDG) announced today that it has opened an office in Houston under the direction of Sang-Won Kim, who leads the firms global energy practice.

The firm said its new presence in Houston was driven by the growing demand for energy transition technology and decarbonization strategy among its clientele in the region.

The firms newest office is at 1400 Broadfield Boulevard, Suite 200, in Houston. The new location is in the renowned energy corridor district of Houston, home to many corporations in the energy sector and beyond.

Dr. Kim has more than 20 years of experience working with clients to make large capital-investment decisions, particularly in the energy value chain. His clients have included large exploration and production companies, national oil companies, pipeline operators, merchant and regulated utilities, as well as engineering, procurement and construction contractors. Prior to rejoining SDG in 2016, Dr. Kim was a managing director in strategy consulting for IHS Markit, a data, analytics, and insights firm that supports clients in capital-intensive industries. He began his consulting career at SDG in 1997. Dr. Kim received PhD and MS degrees in management science and engineering from Stanford University.
