CapitalSpring Hosting 2nd Annual Feed US Today Initiative to Give Back to Local Communities

NEW YORK (PRWEB) March 07, 2023 - CapitalSpring, a leading institutional investor with deep expertise in food service and multi-unit business models, is giving back to the communities who support their portfolio companies with a second annual Feed US Today initiative. The single day event will be held on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023.

Thousands of restaurant locations will be participating in the initiative, with a goal of feeding and donating food to as many people as possible on a single day. Each restaurant is able to select any charity or organization within its community. Then on March 8th, they will donate meals to their organization of choice.

To participate, CapitalSpring is asking the restaurants to share pictures of their donations on social media with the hashtag #feedUStoday. The goal is to encourage other restaurants, even those outside CapitalSprings network, to take part in the 24-hour campaign.

Last year, the goal of the initiative was to feed over 100,000 people. However, according to Jim Balis, Managing Director of CapitalSprings Strategic Operations Group, the campaign ended up exceeding expectations and reached an estimated 140,000 people. Looking at this years event, Balis says the firm is primarily focused on feeding those in need, not a total number.

Were really just looking to give back to the communities who have supported us, said Balis. This initiative was born from wanting to do something good and give back, so its less about beating last years numbers and more about just feeding as many people as we can.
