CARY, N.C. (PRWEB) May 27, 2021 - Temperatures are hitting summertime digits this week. This shift in weather will be a hardship and medical threat to many senior citizens living without central air. REALTORS will provide a welcome relief to 25 senior citizens by delivering free window AC units.

In its 10th year, the REALTOR Foundation of Wake County (RFOWC) will donate 25 AC units to recipients who qualify through Wake County Human Services. Upon notification of a senior in need, a REALTOR volunteers to deliver the AC units within 24 hours. RFOWCs lifetime distribution of AC units is 231.

REALTORS have big hearts and care about the health and safety of neighbors, said Executive Director Heather Thompson. In fact, there is always a waiting list for volunteers to participate in this program.

RFOWC is the social good arm of the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS. RFOWC harnesses the collective impact of REALTORS to support our neighbors and improve housing solutions in the community.
